Lake Travis House
New Construction, Unbuilt, 2013
Design on this house started in 2005, but languished due to the Great Recession in 2008. The site overlooked Lake Travis, and intended to use Texas limestone from a local quarry. The house was conceived to have no air conditioning - instead using evaporative cooling from a reservoir at the lower level, and harnessing prevailing winds that would draw convection currents by Bernoulli's Principle.
